Hi, I’m Gen-zel — welcome to Your Creative Siren.

I’m a Filipina beauty and lifestyle content creator now based in sunny Perth, Australia. My journey in this creative world started way back on March 27, 2012 when I launched my first blog, Genzel Kisses, on Blogspot. It later evolved into Gen-zel.com, where I worked with incredible local and international brands like L’Oréal, Maybelline, Etude House, Cathy Doll, and Ever Bilena.

In 2015, I was honored to be awarded Blogger of the Year, a milestone that still makes my heart full. Around the same time, I launched my YouTube channel, where I shared beauty reviews, tutorials, and lifestyle vlogs.

From Beauty to Business

My passion for beauty led me to study High-Definition Hair and Makeup at HD Makeup Studio and Academy, where I graduated and worked as a full-time professional hair and makeup artist for 4 years — specializing in brides and weddings.

Through my social platforms, I met the CEO of New Lounge PH, who recognized my marketing skills and gave me my first opportunity in the marketing industry. That opened the door to my career as a Marketing Manager, where I continued to combine creativity with strategy.

A Leap of Faith to Perth

When I was presented the chance to study abroad and finally reunite with my family after 12 years of living independently in the Philippines, I was hesitant to leave everything I had built. But I took a leap of faith, trusting that if it was meant for me, the Universe would guide and provide.

Starting over meant letting go — including deleting my original blog (a decision I now see as one of my biggest regrets, as blogging is truly my passion). But I believe every ending creates space for a new beginning.

The Heart Behind Your Creative Siren

After moving to Perth, I shifted careers and currently work as a chef. But deep inside, my heart kept calling me back to storytelling, content creation, and community building. I’ve gone through a personal healing journey (still ongoing), and now I’m returning to what I love most — but with a new perspective and purpose.
